"Lessons in Love" is a short documentary commissioned by Moonjai, a production company aimed at uplifting the incredible stories of people with extremely low income through film. Moonjai allowed me find my own subject, and use creativity to tell the story in the way I found most artistically compelling. I loved the opportunity to paint Joe's life journey with an interview and abstract visuals, that when combined, hopefully elevate Joe's human story to a foundational story about overcoming Darkness with Light.
