Cultures of Birth
This 30 minute documentary shares a group of Guatemalan mothers' differing perinatal experiences in the USA and in Guatemala. Through sharing their birthing stories, we gain insight into a beautiful and supportive Guatemalan culture of birth, and the hurdles Guatemalan mothers face seeking perinatal care in the American health care system. Many of the interviews were conducted in Mam, and translated into Spanish and English by a Mam & Spanish translator.

Wombs & Wildfires

This short documentary shares the urgency of protecting mothers from the unknown effects of wildfires via the support of government, health institutions, and the communities facing these threats.

The process included recording interviews with doctors and advocates; finding and building the story in editing room; and locating support imagery from public domain and stock resources to enhance the message's effectiveness.

Lactation Equity Coalition Introduction
This video collects the lactation stories and knowledge of mothers and community members of Washington County, Oregon, who came together to create the Lactation Equity Coalition in summer of 2023. They share their aim to empower their community with lactation education and support resources.
